WHO AM I?
I’m a young architectural designer and preservationist with a passion for design in any shape and form. Chief among those passions is architecture, with architectural preservation, restoration, and renovation being a unique interest to me. Historic architecture, design, and art have been a driving force in my life since I was a child. Growing up in South Louisiana, just outside New Orleans, instilled in me from very early on a deep appreciation for people, culture, art and the region’s extraordinary historic architecture.
Since pursuing those interests, I've had the great pleasure of working to preserve incredible historic works in Louisiana such as Louisiana's Old State Capitol, a striking neogothic castle on a hill, and the state's fantastic "New" State Capitol building, a nationally unique and storied art deco skyscraper. From investigation, to analysis, to conversations with consultants and contractors, to construction drawings, and finally construction, I've been involved with every part of the preservation process. Though preservation is my passion, I revel in any chance to design new works and I hope to bring the lessons I've learned in these historic buildings to contemporary designs.
While historic preservation is my professional passion, like any good designer, I can't help but chase the creative spirit into every type of thing I can get my hands on. This creative pursuit extends well beyond architecture to include graphic design, community design, generative design, parametric pottery, digital fabrication, painting, costume construction, cosplay, prop-building, 3D printing, VR visualization, and more. Whether its exploring a new material, building something by hand, or experimenting with an unfamiliar process, I’m driven by the same passion and desire to bring ideas to life. I believe this multidisciplinary perspective strengthens my work as a designer and informs everything I do.
I earned my Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Architectural History from Louisiana State University in 2022. During my time at LSU, I served as president of Students for Historic Preservation (SHiPs), placed third in the ACSA/AISC National Steel Design Student Competition, and received LSU’s CxC Distinguished Communicator award.

Since graduating, I’ve continued to grow as a designer through my work experience while documenting my hours in pursuit of licensure. I’m currently working hard and preparing for my exams and hope to see them completed within the next few years.
About the header image:
This bas relief from the Louisiana State Capitol Building depicts the construction of the building itself! The woman being chiseled out in the middle is the Muse of Art, one of four muses on that adorn the tower's corners. The men to the right are Governor Long, and the three principal architects who designed the capitol.
Makes you wounder... Have you really made it as an architect if you haven't carved your face into a building?
